Data Sources and Corrections

Two kinds of claim appear on this site, and they are not equally reliable. Some trace to a sentence Bellring Games published, which anyone can go and read. The rest come from a third-party wiki that appears to have read them out of the game files, which nobody outside can check. This page says which is which, what we changed while importing, and what we still cannot answer.

The two kinds of claim on this site

First-party. Anything about how the game works — the six classes, the ten weapon stances, what the 30 July balance pass changed, the release date and price — traces to Bellring Games’ own Steam page, Developer Updates or patch notes. You can open those and check us. Where a page states one of these, it names the update it came from.

Second-hand. Every number in the weapon, armour and accessory tables comes from mistfallhunter.wiki. Bellring Games has published no figures of this kind, so there is nothing first-party to compare them against. Those rows are marked second-hand in the tables themselves.

We do not present the second kind as though it were the first. That is the whole distinction this page exists to make.

Why we think that wiki’s numbers were read out of the game files

Not because it says so — it does not say where its data came from. Three things point that way:

This matters in both directions. Extracted data is precise, and it is also frequently ahead of what has shipped — a value in the files is not necessarily a fact about the game people are playing today.

What we changed while importing

Thirty corrections across nine kinds. Nothing was fixed silently; the full log ships with the site’s source.

What was wrongTimesWhat we did
Loot chests filed as chest armour11Excluded. The game uses chest for both a torso slot and a container, and the eleven containers carry no stats to tabulate.
Percent sign on the wrong side — +%4 beside +4%6Read both as the same value.
type and category transposed3Treated as armour, on the strength of their defence values.
Rarity declared but unused in a table3Removed, so no filter returns an empty table.
Attack Power / Power Attack / Attack2Folded into one stat. No item carries two of them, and the odd ones sit beside identical pieces that use the third.
An item carrying another item’s name2Used the page title. Fearless Breastplate was labelled Emissary Leather Armor — a different class’s chest piece — and Rosen Oath Helmet had an “Ace” prefix none of its four set-mates have.
Magical Damage vs Magic Damage1Folded into one.
Block Damage Reduction Rate vs Block Damage Reduction1Folded into one.
A row that contradicts a first-party statement1Kept and flagged — see below.

The count of armour pieces is 135 rather than the 146 a straight import produces, almost entirely because of the eleven containers. The corrected set comes to exactly 27 pieces in each of the five slots, which is itself a sign the classification is now right.

The three things we could not settle

A weapon assigned to the wrong class. Deathclaw Hunter, a Legendary dual blades, is listed as a Blackarrow weapon. The other five dual blades all belong to the Shadowstrix, and Bellring Games described the Blackarrow as carrying only the Bow at launch. Either the source mislabelled it, or it is content that has not shipped — and from outside those look identical. The value stays in the table with a footnote saying so.

Seven earrings with no data. Bell, Crow Bone, Demonic Stone, Light Feather, Sharp Barbs, Spirit Serpent and Triquetra are listed as Epic and carry no stats, no class and no value. They appear in the accessory table as empty rows rather than being dropped, because “nobody recorded what this does” and “this does nothing” are different statements and only one of them is true.

One figure off the pattern. Critical damage resistance on Legendary helmets reads 7 where every other resistance at that rarity reads 7.2. It may be a real difference or a rounding slip upstream. We left it as we found it.

What would improve this

Anything read off a running client. A player who can open the game and check a figure has better evidence than this entire page — first-party observation beats a second-hand extraction, even a tidy one. The earrings are the clearest gap: seven items where a single screenshot would settle what nobody has written down.

If a figure here disagrees with your game, your game is right. Tell us via the contact page and we will correct it and say that we did.

Frequently asked questions

Are the Mistfall Hunter item stats on this site official?

No. Bellring Games has published no item, weapon or armour figures at all. Every number in the equipment tables was extracted from mistfallhunter.wiki, a third-party site whose data appears to come from the game files. We mark all of it second-hand because we cannot verify it against anything first-party.

How accurate are these numbers likely to be?

We cannot promise accuracy, only consistency. All 45 weapons and 135 armour pieces land exactly on a fixed grid of rarity and slot, with no variation anywhere — data typed in by hand rarely comes out that regular, which suggests it was extracted rather than transcribed. It also agrees with something the developers did say, that random affixes were replaced by gem sockets. Those are the only two checks available.

Did you change the data you imported?

Yes, thirty times across nine kinds of problem — inconsistent percent signs, three spellings of one stat, two items carrying another item's name, and eleven loot chests that had been filed as chest armour. Every change is listed on this page and recorded in the pipeline's correction log rather than applied silently.

What is still unresolved?

Three things. One weapon is assigned to a class the developers said does not carry it. Seven earrings have no stats recorded anywhere. And one resistance figure reads 7 where the pattern says 7.2. All three are flagged where they appear rather than quietly smoothed over.
