Mistfall Hunter For Whom the Bell Tolls

For Whom the Bell Tolls is the fourth and final step of the Guidance of Fate quest line, and the only one given to you by Dramm. Its objective asks you to kill an Elite Greataxe Berserker. This page walks the step through as far as our record allows, connects it to the bell story that Tracking the Treasure set up, and marks exactly where the published record stops.

Where the quest sits

For Whom the Bell Tolls is the final step of the Guidance of Fate line. As our quest table records them, that line runs in four steps:

  • The Silent Statue — talk to Dew.
  • The Weaver — upgrade the Goddess Statue in the camp.
  • Wandering Chimes — talk to Dew.
  • For Whom the Bell Tolls — kill an Elite Greataxe Berserker, given by Dramm.

This is not an isolated errand. It is the fourth and final step of a chain, it is the only step in the line that names a fight, and the only one whose giver the table records. And it is the step that unlocks the Siblings line: our table shows that the first quest of Siblings, Full Delivery, lists For Whom the Bell Tolls as the quest that must be done first.

This page is deliberately not another list. The full quest table already holds all 128 quests across every line and is where you go to browse “what is there”. This page answers one narrower question — how do I actually do this one step? — and it stops wherever the published record stops.

The bell story this step closes

The name makes more sense once you see the lines it sits between. Our quest table shows that Tracking the Treasure — the final step of the Bell of Return line, where you hunt for bell fragments — is the prerequisite for The Silent Statue, which is the first step of Guidance of Fate. In other words, the bell hunt does not end when you finish Tracking the Treasure; it is what opens the line this quest concludes.

The naming continues the thread too. The third step of Guidance of Fate is called Wandering Chimes, and it hands straight into For Whom the Bell Tolls. So read as a sequence, the quest table shows the bell fragments you gathered in Tracking the Treasure feeding a chain that ends with a quest literally about bells tolling.

To be precise about what this is: this is what the quest table shows, a conclusion drawn from the recorded prerequisites and names. It is not a statement Bellring Games have made. We are describing the structure the data records, not claiming an official plot.

The objective, read carefully

The verbatim objective our table holds is:

Kill the Elite Greataxe Berserker

That is a single half-sentence, and there is a reason it is worth reading the way it is written rather than the way a walkthrough might want it to read.

First, the target is an Elite Greataxe Berserker, not the ordinary Greataxe Berserker. Our enemies page already records that two separate quests name these creatures, once for the ordinary version and once for the Elite version, and that this is the clearest evidence in the quest text that the game builds elite variants of ordinary enemies. The step before this line, Tracking the Treasure, points at the ordinary Berserker; this quest points at the Elite one. The two are different targets, and mixing them is how a walkthrough gets this step wrong.

Second, the objective names the creature and nothing else. No map, no coordinate, no spawn point, no reward. The objective is a slot the game fills in elsewhere — it is not a location we have been given.

What we do not know

The record for this quest stops sooner than we would like, and the honest thing is to say exactly where.

  • No spawn point for the Elite Greataxe Berserker. We know the name and that elite variants are a real category; we do not know where this one appears.
  • No map location. The objective names the kill and stops.
  • No reward. Our source collected no reward information — none of the 128 quests in our table has a reward field at all, so this is an absence in our record, not evidence that the quest pays nothing.
  • No reward from the camp side either. The step before this one, The Weaver, asks you to upgrade the Goddess Statue in the camp — a mechanic we cover on the camp-upgrades page — but nothing connects that upgrade to a figure here.

So the record reads: given by Dramm, kill the Elite Greataxe Berserker, and doing so unlocks the Siblings line. That is the whole of what a semi-first-party source has given us, and we will not invent the numbers to fill the rest.

The gap in the record

Everything on this page comes from our own quest table, whose rows are extracted from a third-party database (mistfalldb.com, captured 6 August 2026), and which itself relies on a competitor wiki. Bellring Games have published almost nothing about quests, so nothing here can be checked against a first-party walkthrough.

The one structural claim that goes beyond the table — that the bell hunt feeds into this line — is a reading of the recorded prerequisites, kept as “the quest table shows” rather than stated as fact, for that reason. If a better source ever records the spawn point, the location, or the reward, this page will be the first place it gets written down. Until then, “records stop here” is the truthful summary.

Frequently asked questions

What is the For Whom the Bell Tolls quest in Mistfall Hunter?

It is the fourth and last step of the Guidance of Fate line, and the only step in that line given by Dramm. Its objective asks you to kill an Elite Greataxe Berserker. Our quest table records the objective verbatim, the prerequisite (Wandering Chimes), and the giver (Dramm); the spawn point, the map location and any reward are not in the record, so this page only repeats what the table actually says.

How do you start For Whom the Bell Tolls?

By finishing the step before it. The Guidance of Fate line runs The Silent Statue, The Weaver, then Wandering Chimes, then this quest. Our table lists Wandering Chimes as the prerequisite, and Dramm as the giver. Because it is the final step of the line, it is where the whole Guidance of Fate chain pays off.

Is For Whom the Bell Tolls the same as Tracking the Treasure?

No, but the two are joined by the bell story. Tracking the Treasure is the final step of the Bell of Return line and asks you to kill an ordinary Greataxe Berserker and search for bell fragments. For Whom the Bell Tolls is the final step of Guidance of Fate and asks you to kill an Elite Greataxe Berserker. Our quest table shows that Tracking the Treasure is the prerequisite for the very first step of Guidance of Fate, so the bell hunt literally leads into this line — and the enemy this quest names is the Elite version of the one Tracking the Treasure pointed at.

Who is the Elite Greataxe Berserker in For Whom the Bell Tolls?

The objective names an Elite Greataxe Berserker. Our enemy page records that two separate quests name these creatures — one for the ordinary version and one for an Elite Greataxe Berserker — and that elite variants are a real category in the quest text. Where this Elite Berserker spawns, and what it drops, is not something our source specifies.

What is the reward for For Whom the Bell Tolls?

We cannot tell you. Our source collected no reward data for this quest — none of the 128 quests in our table carries a reward field at all, so this is an absence in our record, not evidence that the quest pays nothing. Where the record stops, this page says so rather than inventing a figure.

What does For Whom the Bell Tolls unlock?

Our quest table shows it is the prerequisite for Full Delivery, which opens the Siblings line: Full Delivery asks you to talk to the long-waiting Dramm and lists For Whom the Bell Tolls as the quest that has to be done first. So finishing this step is what unlocks the Siblings chain.
