Where the quest sits

Tracking the Treasure is the final step of the Bell of Return line, and it closes a short chain that starts with Sigrid. The line’s three steps, as our quest table records them, are:

• Missing Ingredients — talk to Sigrid.
• Victory Wine — deliver brewing ingredients to Sigrid.
• Tracking the Treasure — kill a Greataxe Berserker, then search for bell fragments.

The important structural point is that the first two steps are both given by Sigrid, and the third names the same kind of creature that the enemy roster associates with a family of fights. In other words, this is not an isolated errand: it is the payoff of a three-step line, and the thing it asks you to kill is one this site has written about elsewhere.

This page is deliberately not another list. The full quest table already holds all 128 quests across every line and is where you go to browse “what is there”. This page answers one narrower question — how do I actually do this one step? — and it stops wherever the published record stops.

The objective, read carefully

The verbatim objective our table holds is:

Kill the Greataxe Berserker; Go to the designated location and search for bell fragments

Two things stand out if you read it the way it is written rather than the way a walkthrough might want it to read.

First, the objective has two halves: a kill and a search. Neither half names a specific place in the objective itself. The “designated location” is a slot the game fills in — it is not a coordinate we have been given.

Second, the target is a Greataxe Berserker, a name our enemies page already carries. That page records that two separate quests name these creatures, once for the ordinary version and once for an Elite Greataxe Berserker — the target of For Whom the Bell Tolls — which is the clearest evidence the quest text contains that the game builds elite variants of ordinary enemies. Which variant this quest wants, and where it appears, is not stated in the objective we hold.

The one lead the game text gives us

There is exactly one place-name on record that connects to bell fragments, and it comes from the game’s own English text rather than from any guide. On the Hallowgrove page, the place table quotes a line that places a bell fragment near the Supreme Hall of Hallowgrove.

That is worth being precise about. It is a statement that a bell fragment exists near the Supreme Hall — it is not a confirmation that this is the exact spot the quest’s “designated location” means. Bell fragments appear throughout the game’s text, and the objective for this quest does not name the Supreme Hall itself. So the honest read is: the Supreme Hall is the one fragment location our site can point to, and it is a lead to check, not a guaranteed drop point.

This is also the point where the nearby-name trap sits. If a page tells you the answer is simply “find the lost treasure in Hallowgrove”, it has drifted onto a different quest. That phrase belongs to Where Are the Shinies, in the Woodlings and the Goddess line — not to this step. The two quests both contain the word “treasure” and are unrelated in goal: one is a fragment hunt, the other is about a lost treasure, and this page is about the former.

What we do not know

The record for this quest stops sooner than we would like, and the honest thing is to say exactly where.

• No coordinate for the kill or the search. The “designated location” is a slot in the objective, not a figure anyone has published to our knowledge.
• No spawn point for the Greataxe Berserker. We know the name and that an elite variant exists; we do not know where either spawns.
• No fragment count. The objective says fragments (plural) but no number.
• No reward. Our source collected no reward information — none of the 128 quests in our table has a reward field at all, so this is an absence in our record, not evidence that the quest pays nothing.
• No quest giver. Our source records null for this step’s giver. That is a data gap, not proof the quest starts itself — the two steps before it are both given by Sigrid.

So the record reads: kill the Berserker, head to the designated location, search for bell fragments, and the one verifiable in-world clue is the Supreme Hall lead on the Hallowgrove page. That is the whole of what a first-party or semi-first-party source has given us, and we will not invent the numbers to fill the rest.

The gap in the record

Everything on this page comes from two places: our own quest table, whose rows are extracted from a third-party database, and the game’s English text quoted on the Hallowgrove place table. Bellring Games have published almost nothing about quests, so nothing here can be checked against a first-party walkthrough.

The fragment location is the one claim that rests on a single string, and it is kept as a quoted lead rather than stated as the quest’s answer, for that reason. If a better source ever records the exact search spot, the fragment count, or the reward, this page will be the first place it gets written down. Until then, “records stop here” is the truthful summary.
